Prowatcher's Jan-2026 old-office quote (₱59,897.60 VAT-inc for 1 AP + gateway + install) is dissected on the Vendors & Quote page — including the PoE-class error (PoE+ injector cannot power an XGS, which needs PoE++ 802.3bt).

Scenarios

Recommended — 7 AP, 10G this BOM

₱318,752
VAT-inc
  • 7× U7 Pro XGS → ~43 devices/AP at full occupancy (300–450 clients)
  • USW-Pro-XG-10-PoE: 400 W PoE++ powers all 7 at nameplate with ~97 W spare for cameras/growth
  • All AP uplinks 10GbE; 1U rack-mounts; 8 drops incl. 1 spare
  • ≥ −65 dBm on 5 GHz at every desk, ≥ 2-AP roaming overlap

Budget floor — 5 AP, XG-8-PoE estimate

~₱230,000
VAT-inc (~₱205,000 VAT-ex)
  • Locks the design at 5 APs: 5 × 29 W = 145 W of the 155 W budget — a 6th AP cannot be added, ever
  • 60–90 clients/AP at full occupancy; congestion in the open plan
  • Corner coverage on a 37.5 m floor degrades toward −70 dBm in the NW meeting / SW conference corners
  • Zero PoE headroom for cameras, door access, or growth

Saves ~₱89,000 up front; re-cabling and a switch swap later cost more than the delta.

If desks need wired drops open question

The whole switching layer changes: 133 desks means 48-port PoE access switches (×2–3), a floor-standing rack, a bigger UPS, and 50–150 structured-cabling drops instead of 8. Budget roughly doubles. The client's own 8-port switch idea only makes sense for a WiFi-only office — this must be confirmed before any PO. Tracked on Open Questions.

PH street ≈ 1.3× US list (₱76–78 per USD-of-list-price, standard authorized-import markup at 61.62 ₱/USD). Prowatcher's unit prices sit right on this curve — fair, not padded, on hardware units.

Recurring costs — not in the capex total

Primary ISP

Converge FlexiBIZ 1000/500 ≈ ₱18,000/mo estimate, or a RISE dedicated-internet quote (Cebu-strong ISP, SLA-backed — get a quote). Hand-off into the UCG-Fiber's 10G SFP+ / 10GbE WAN. ISP install is often the longest lead item in PH buildings — order now.

Backup line

₱2,500–8,000/mo estimate — a second provider on different last-mile (e.g. PLDT/Globe if primary is Converge), into a 2.5GbE port for UCG-Fiber dual-WAN failover. 150 staff cannot ride a single Cebu ISP.

5G failover SIM

5G CPE (~₱8,000 one-off) + data SIM as tertiary failover — and day-one internet if the fiber install slips past the mid-August deadline. See Network Design for the WAN plan.

Cost risks

FX drift: ±10–15% on the switch estimate The USW-Pro-XG-10-PoE price is extrapolated from US list — no PH quote exists yet. The peso is down 9.3% YoY; distributor margin plus PHP/USD movement can shift it by ±10–15%. Lock pricing at PO with 30-day validity.
Indent lead times threaten mid-August Ubiquiti PH channel stock is chronically spotty (PC Express shows U7-series out of stock). Import indent runs 2–4 weeks. Order by mid-July with written stock allocation, or the deadline slips. See Timeline.
Installation ₱32,000 is a planning number Survey-dependent by nature — the old-office ₱7,000 covered one AP and does not scale linearly. Fair Cebu range for 7–8 pulls + commissioning is ₱25,000–45,000. Treat ₱32,000 as the placeholder until survey-based quotes land, and cable while the fit-out ceilings are still open (cheapest window).

Where to buy

Authorized channel

MEC Networks Corp (mec.ph) and iConnect Technologies are the authorized Ubiquiti PH distributors — full manufacturer warranty pass-through and local RMA. Retail fallback: PC Express, IT Warehouse, Benson.ph, AWB Networks. Get stock confirmation in writing before any PO.

Avoid grey stock

Shopee/Lazada grey imports may void Ubiquiti RMA entirely — and PH RMA turnaround is slow even through the authorized channel (no advance replacement). A ₱1–2k saving per unit is not worth a dead AP with no recourse. Consider one cold-spare AP (+₱23,300 VAT-inc).

Bundle vs separate Split the decision: source hardware from the cheapest of (a) a Prowatcher re-quote, (b) MEC Networks direct, (c) direct import — and contract installation labor separately if the bundled premium exceeds ~10%. Prowatcher's hardware unit prices were fair; their install line was a one-AP call-out minimum, not a rate card. Full vendor scorecard and negotiation targets on Vendors & Quote.
